Hi there!
The past two weeks I followed a summer school in fashion management, organized by the Antwerp Management School. Every lesson during our first week was in Antwerp where we visited the studio of designer Katrien Van Hecke and we learned a lot about business models, sustainability and fast fashion. Actually I was even more excited for the second part of the program: luxury stores in Paris. These three days were all about the french big four and we listened to lectures given by the most interesting people. All classes were at IFM (Institut Français de la Mode) at the Yves Saint Laurent amphitheater. Of course I captured some moments for you guys.
I arrived on sunday with a friend, and we visited the Fondation Louis Vuitton. A beautiful construction designed by architecture Frank Gehry. A must-do when you’re in Paris if you ask me.
On Tuesday we had to do some mystery shopping in luxury stores. We went to Dior, Cartier and my personal favorite Céline. I literally loved EVERYTHING in here, wow. Guess I’ll have to come back one day to do some real shopping!
On Wednesday we had our last class and we ended this summer school in Parisian style with macaroons. I stayed one more day to do some shopping and I bought a lot at ZARA (find more outfitposts on instagram) and I had a lovely coffee at Frenchie to Go.
Do you consider summer school in fashion management? Ask me anything you want, I’ll give you all the answers! But I guarantee you: it was totally worth it and I would do it all over again if I could! What are your favorite hotspots in Paris?
