Hello again! Hope you’re all doing great :) I’m back to share my favorite hotspots from Milan last week. I was here only for two days of shopping with my mother. About four years ago I visited Milano for the first time. We visited a few touristic things back then, but this time the purpose of our trip was very clear ;). It was a perfect combination of shopping and paying a visit to the right amount of bars, restaurants and brunch spots. Let’s go!
I already showed you our hotel. They didn’t offer breakfast so we discovered the rooftop from La Rinascente (well known Italian department store) where we enjoyed an affordable breakfast with an amazing view over the ‘Duomo di Milano‘. Milan can be quite expensive but the trick is to find cool hotspots that are affordable, this is one of them! It was only a five minute walk from our hotel.
My favorite lunch spot in Milan is definitely Fancy Toast! I discovered this place via Instagram and I really wanted to go there. What’s in a name, come here for picture worthy fancy toasts with smoked salmon, advocado’s, nutella, red fruit and so much more.
You can’t go to Italy without eating a delicious ice cream right? Cioccolati Italiani is my favorite! “When chocolate meets gelato”. Not that typical place where you can choose over 100 flavors, but they do fill your cone with hot liquid chocolate… To die for!!! Already missing these delicious ice creams while writing this :)
Cool places to have a drink (read: cocktails) are Terrazza Aperol, Four Seasons Hotel and 10 Corso Como. Terrazza Aperol also has an amazing view over the Milan Cathedral. In the weekends, you have to queue to get in, but it’s worth it! Four Seasons is a 5* hotel right in the city centre of Milan. This is a fancy – expensive place. The butlers and the amount of times they called me ‘Miss‘ even made me feel a little uncomfortable. But definitely worth a visit to check the mind blowing hall and fashionable people. 10 Corso Como is a name I saw on any blog/website/review I read when I was looking for hotspots before our departure. I agree, a real cool spot you should definitely pay a visit!
Last but not least: dinner! I only think of two things when I hear Italy and that’s pizza and pasta! Not by chance my favorite food. Best places for this are Paper Moon, Spontini, Luini and Princi. These last 3 are well known local spots but I think they serve the best pizza and pasta so why look for anything else? Let me know if you know any of these hotspots. Hope you enjoyed this post, thanks for reading!
